Join us for Art Heals in conjunction with the Susquehanna Art Museum. This is part of the Park Rx series of programs sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield.
The objective of our Art Heals series is to show you that making art can serve many purposes: release tension, be meditative, express emotions, and help you to connect with yourself. So relax, and enjoy the experience!
This Art Heals program will focus on the fundamentals of drawing. Anyone can learn how to draw. It is a practiced skill as much as it is a talent and it can be learned at any age! Instructor Nancy Mendes will share some basics and each participant will have their own sketch pad to start creating!
All materials will be provided, and you will have the option to sketch anything you would like! Be inspired by the beautiful natural surroundings at Lykens Glen Park. You'll take your sketch pad home at the end of the class so you can keep on practicing.
The class will take place outdoors, under a pavilion. This class is open to adults and children, but would not be suitable for very young children. All children need to be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Cost: $8.00 per person | price includes all materials.
Advance registration is required. Class size is limited. Please plan on spending 60 - 90 minutes. Project time will vary by participant. Come prepared for a fun night!
A waiver is required for participation in all physically active programs with Dauphin County Parks & Recreation Department. Please review the waiver for participation as part of your registration process. If the participant is under 18 years of age, the waiver needs to be accepted by the parent or guardian.
